After passing the mining limiter with leaked beta drivers last week, A tester this week with a multi gpu mining setup was able to trick the system into believing those extra graphics cards are actually display adapters by using a dummy HDMI Connector.
Given how cheap the dummy connectors are, it is now almost impossible for Nvidia to stop the miners. The only good news for us and nvidia here is that this still requires the beta drivers that were leaked last week meaning the upcoming RTX 3080ti and RTX 3070 ti that are soon going to launch won’t be able to be bypassed with these methods at least on Day 1.
If it was this easy for miners to bypass the limiter, We can just wonder how long it will take them to bypass the mining limiter on upcoming gpu’s. What do you think? write in the comments.
